Hardy joint
Flexible couplings.
The Hardy disc is actually a flexible clutch replacing the universal joint. It is used in several areas instead of universal joints. The Hardy wheel makes the connection flexible by means of a circular elastic ring.
Design: The shaft ends are fitted with a three-pronged fork of the same design, which is connected to each other through a rubber insert with a textile insert. There are six bushings on the rubber plate, to which the coupling halves are fastened in 60 ° rotation. The rubber blade between the mounting points is able to tolerate an angle difference of 1-2 ° between the shafts and dampens the axial vibrations.
